If anyone’s been keeping up with blogs or street fashion or blogs about street fashion, the trend of incorporating sneakers, or ‘trainers,’ if you’re from across the pond, into the every day wardrobe is sneaking (EH? EH??) it’s way in.
This trend is pretty controversial, to put it lightly, but what do we think of it?
Scandinavians seem to be quite fond of it, as seen through various blogs, particularly a favorite of mine, Anywho, who have frequent sneaker apperances such as:

WHO CAN’T LOVE A MINT NIKE THOUGH.
Sneakers are also making their way into higher fashion, hugely thanks to the infamous all white platform sneakers by Chole Sevigny for Opening Ceremony.

A good friend of mine and I were discussing this trend and she simply said that she, “didn’t really get the whole hype” and “hadn’t seen anything that would sell [her] the idea.”
Sneakers tend to dress everything down in a MASSIVE way and can also make women feel instantly more masculine, which can turn many off to this trend. However, I’ve found a couple looks that work with trend differently:

While all of looks are really casual here, I find that the use of the sneakers is kind of like wearing an oxford or a loafer, but add an edge that neither shoe can really give (particularly the last look).
What do we think of this trend?
